Join the Sierra Club Chicago Group and Truman College Environmental Club for a fun, relaxed clean-up of the biggest beach in the city. There is always a LOT of debris washed up on the beach from winter storms. And who knows what errant junk was trapped under all that ice over the winter? We cant help finding lots of birds, mammals and interesting plants.
Bring: For dress for the weather (it may be cold!), wear a hat and sunscreen, bring a filled water bottle and work gloves if you have them. Snacks, hot chocolate, coffee and water will be provided, but please feel free to bring a treat to share. Home-baked cookies are always much appreciated!
Additional Instructions: Dogs are not allowed on Montrose Beach or in the nature preserve.
